We got Spooky (a.k.a. Pook-e-mon, Mook) as a 5-month old in the fall of 1997 from Ann & Al Stead. We were very fortunate that he was available when we were looking they agreed to let him come live with us. An extremely sweet and affectionate dog, Spooky is a powerhouse on our team. Not once in the time we've been running him have we seen a slack tugline. His power and willingness to work never ceases to amaze us. Whether in single or double lead, or in wheel, he gives it everything he's got.

Very quiet, except at hookup, Spooky can also be a goof when he's in a playful mood. At hook-up he's pretty much a maniac. We've repaired his box a number of times as he tries to eat his way out when he's excited. He's destroyed a number of harnesses and countless necklines in his impatience to go—bad habits we've never been quite successful in training out of him.

Spooky runs a well disciplined but peaceful ship among the boys of the Sibertopia but woe to the dog that forgets himself and gets between Spooky and his toy.

A Day Off

When not working in harness, Spooky makes a perfect house dog. He has even mastered how to open the sliding glass door to let him self in from yard when he so chooses.
